When Reese Withspoon stepped onto the red carpet at the London premiere of This Means War earlier this week, the actress stunned fans with a dramatic new style. Reese claims she went with bangs after her run-in with a car last summer left her with a scar on her forehead, but regardless of her motivation she's part of a growing trend of freshly-framed faces.

Fox won an unexpected hit with New Girl, which has pushed Zooey Deschanel squarely into the mainstream, even if she's still more comfortable on the indie scene.
