Poll: Which Hair Color Looks Best on Katy Perry?

Katy Perry has always been pretty unpredictable when it comes to her red carpet style, but the one consistent thing had been her raven hair -- save for a blue wig or two. But, not over the last year. The singer has rocked at least six different hues since last summer and debuted yet another new color and cut at Coachella this weekend. After pink then blue, she went with purple this time. Take a look at her hair transformation here and tell us which you think she should stick with.

Black Beauty: Birth to June 16, 2011
Katy Perry's natual hair color is a beautiful jet black. Her raven locks were the standard up until about this point, then she began dabbling in dye. With the help of bleach and a lot of patience she's ditched her dark mane.

Hot Ginge: June 17, 2011
Katy alerted her fans about her first coloring job on June 17. "Tonight I dye my hair a different color... Can you guess which color?!" she wrote.

Hours later she gave an update. "So I didn't get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long! 2get to goal I have 2b GINGER for 3WKS #paybackfromGINGERGodsFML!" she said about the dye gone awry.

And she didn't end the updates there. "If I don't wait 3wks, I'll end up w/no hair or a #pixie90scutw/abarretteinthefront It's okay, I'll get to my secret color(s) soon!," she added.

The starlet flew below the radar, and especially out of camera shot, for a couple of weeks before surfacing as a "ginge." On July 1 she posted about her new locks: "On my way to launch PURR in TORONTO! FINALLY CA has PURR avail to them! P.s. If u see a ginger haired girl that looks like me, it's me!" she wrote. Sure enough, she was spotted the next day with brassy locks.

Blue Belle: July 4, 2011
Katy gave her processed locks the night off and donned a wig for her July 4 gig in Montreal. She threw on a natural-looking black wig and then spiced things up with a bright blue one.

This wasn't the first time Katy's rocked an Smurf Blue wig. She did so at the Kids' Choice Awards, where she got slimed onstage. And it's been done before. Many stars have also sported the same hue: Gwen Stefani, Perez Hilton, and, of course, Marge Simpson.

Blondie: July 24, 2011
Katy made it no secret that her goal was to drastically lighten her locks, and sure enough she showed up to the premiere of The Smurfs a bronzed blond!

She paired her golden hair with a short sparkly dress, and both her new 'do and silly dress got very mixed reviews. Perhaps the luke warm reaction was what prompted her to go home that night and dig out the dye again. She wrote after walking the red carpet: "I have been dying my hair since 10pm! Good GOD let me get to my destination tonight! #beenblack #beenblue #beenhotginge #beenblonde #now..."

Pretty in Pink: August 1, 2011
Ms. Perry's hair has certainly taken a beating with all that bleach, and luckily her next hue didn't require any further stripping. Instead she added another color: pink! The songstress debuted her cotton candy color in early August and rocked it in various styles for nearly four months. Just when we were getting used to the cheeky look, she went ahead and changed it up again. Of course.

Blonde Bombshell: December 3, 2011
Perry went blond for the holidays. Sorta. The star showed up at the Change Begins Within benefit in early December with her hair chopped into a short, straight bob and her previously bright pink locks were platinum blond. Upon closer inspection, the 'do also had plenty of peach-y pink and gold tones, since strictly blond would be way too boring. The sophisticated style looked great on the funky songstress, but we had a feeling this was just a phase...

Back to Blue:
January 2012
Sure enough, the pop star got sick of her somewhat natural hue pretty fast. Not even a month
after sporting blondish locks she debuted bright cerulean tresses at a charity even in Las Vegas. Not surprisingly, she totally pulled off the Smurf-esque hue.

From there, she stuck with various shades of blue for over two months. We can't imagine how much dye her stylist must have gone through over those weeks! Perry hinted at what her next transformation would be when she wore what were obviously gigantic blue and purple extensions to the Kids' Choice Awards in late March. Sure enough, just a couple of weeks later her blue hair days were no more.

Purple Power: April 14, 2012
The Coachella Music Festival is a place to see and be seen, even for celebs. So, it was the perfect venue for the pop tart to show off her freshly dyed hair. This time, she revealed deep purple tresses while mingling at the 3-day music fest. She accented her bright 'do with a sweet headband of colorful roses. It seems like she might be transitioning back to dark locks (your hair can only take so much bleach, right?), but you never know.
