It’s Official: Kim Kardashian Will Be a Vera Wang Bride

The Kardashian wedding bonanza continues. From the specifics of their registry, to leaked pictures of the wedding invitations, the details of Kim Kardashian's big day have been headline news. Kim was recently spotted out with Vera Wang, bridal designer extraordinaire, fueling rumors that she would wear a custom-made Vera Wang frock to her lavish wedding. To the delight of Kardashian fans everywhere, Kim took to her blog on August 1 to announce that the rumors are indeed true: Vera Wang is designing her highly anticipated wedding dress. Kim said,

I am so excited to reveal that Vera Wang is my wedding dress designer. Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years, so when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of. Vera Wang is the bridal gown guru in the industry. She has dressed a myriad of famous brides including Chelsea Clinton, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner and Mariah Carey. Vera even had the honor of dressing Kristin Davis' Sex and the City character, Charlotte York, for her wedding to Trey MacDougal.

With the Kardashian/Humphries wedding reportedly ringing in at a whopping $20 million, it's no surprise that Kim would choose the cream of the crop to create the most important dress of her life. Kim said,
No one designs gowns the way that she does! I know that Vera can make my dream come true and create the most perfect gown for my special day.

The dress will undoubtedly be exquisite—expect opulent beadwork and intricate lace detailing. What kind of bride will Kim be? Will she be a classic bride, donning a traditional ball gown complete with layers of lush ruffles and a full train?  Or will Kim stick to her sultry style and opt for a sexy trumpet silhouette that hugs the curves that made her famous? We are certainly anxious to find out!
