Jennifer Lopez rocked the red carpet at the 2012 Academy Awards wearing an ultra-sexy Zuhair Murad gown she paired with an exaggerated classic bun. As usual, her face looked flawless featuring luminous skin and ultra-feminine makeup.

Love the retro-inspired effect as much as we do? Well, celebrity makeup artist Talia Shobrook was kind enough to deconstruct Jennifer's lovely look and come up with easy-to-follow instructions and product recommendations for duplicating her stunning style:

1. Lock in moisture by priming skin using Laura Mercier Hydrating
Foundation Primer, and
create an even canvas with Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation.

2. Defined, sculpted brows are key to this look. First, fill-in brows
with Laura Mercier Brow Definer and then brush them with Laura Mercier Brow Powder Duo.

3. To ensure eye shadow stays put throughout the evening, it’s crucial to prep the lid using a primer, like Laura Mercier’s NEW Eye Canvas.

4. Then, create a dramatic eye by applying a matte white shadow from brow to lid, and cover the lid using a matte brown shadow.

5. Use Laura Mercier’s Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Black Ebony to line the tightline of the top lid and create a modern take on the classic Audrey Hepburn doll eye. Rim the lower lash line with a dark brown pencil and smudge it out to the tear duct.

6. Create a natural flush of color by applying Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Oleander.

7. Finish the look with a Laura Mercier Lip Stain layered with Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bare Beam.
