First Rihanna debuted a lightened 'do and then Adele attended the Grammy Awards with golden locks that matched her many gramophone statuettes. Soon after, we got word Demi Lovato had tinted her tresses, too. Could this bevy of brunette celebs be testing the theory of whether blondes do actually have more fun?

In addition to the ladies who took their look full-throttle flaxen, a couple of other darkly-tressed stars opted to become temporarily towheaded. Victoria Justice tried something a little lighter, sharing a photo of herself on Facebook wearing a curly platinum wig (and even a pair of blue contact lens). She added the message, "Trying a totally different look for a new episode...What do you guys think?". Comments from her fans about the dramatic new 'do were mixed.

Kendall Jenner also tried a no-commitment option by tossing on some sandy blond strands. She tweeted a picture of herself sporting the pale postiche along with the note, "New look...? What do u think" Loll." Kendall eventually reassured bewildered fans by tweeting back, "Don't worry! Still a brunette!" and including a new shot of her still-tawny tresses.

Perhaps Kendall was inspired by sister Kim Kardashian who recently added a few subtle champagne-hued highlights to her own brunette mane. With all the tress-tinting going on, we can't help but wonder who will be next and while the conclusion of these various hair color experiments remains inconclusive, we'll enjoy the observation process.
